Amanda Chiu is a Finance Manager – Programs at Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), where she co-leads the management and operations of the Finance Programs team.  She provides financial support to the Programs area of the organization, enabling innovators to meet pre-award and post-award financial requirements.

Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Amanda worked in a corporate tax advisory and reporting role at a large Canadian public company and practiced tax and audit at a national accounting firm, servicing small and large companies in various industries. Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained her CPA, CA designation in 2014. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys volunteering with her church and the CRA’s community volunteer income tax program. She also enjoys tending to her vegetable garden, spoiling her dog, traveling and snowboarding.
