Alexandra Langford-Pezzo is one of the Lab Associates for the Indigenous Innovation Initiative (I3), where she draws on her lived and learned experience to assist Innovators in navigating their journey with I3, while encouraging/working with them to develop their skills to take into their own community and innovation.
She is a member of Missanabie Cree First Nation, a graduate of Seneca college’s environmental landscape management, an earth worker by heart and an entrepreneur who has brought Indigenous plant knowledge to the City of Toronto for over a decade. Her personal philosophy is continuing to connect community to land, spirit and knowledge in all its forms, namely by creating connections and authentic feelings of inclusion. In her free time, she spends as much time on the land as possible, exploring new places or rekindling an old one with her young son while on a journey to learn and speak Omuskego Cree with him.
