Poverty, malnutrition and a lack of early stimulation are risk factors for poor brain development in babies and are prevalent in Bangladesh. Saving Bangladesh’s Babies’ Brains, also known as SB3, is an intervention to address the health challenges related to a lack of early childhood development, specifically for malnourished children aged 6 to 24 months. SB3 operates through group sessions at pre-existing health clinics, teaching parents how to interact with their children to promote optimal development. With support from the Bangladesh National Government, the SB3 integrated program of nutritional care and psychosocial stimulation will be scaled to all 13,000 community clinics across the country.
