For children under 3 who live with their mothers in prisons across Mexico, basic rights are not guaranteed, normal physical, emotional and social development are not provided, and they are often exposed to inappropriate, dangerous and potentially traumatic events. The program promotes the healthy development of children incarcerated with their mothers, and strengthens the mothers' parenting and social skills.
